First Livingroom-mix of 2021 might be coming soon. Played for over 7 hours last night, listening to the recording now to hear if it’s as good as I felt while playing. Then again I did have quite a few beers while playing, so that recollection isn’t the most reliable.

            Have only been after it ever since! Thought it was never pressed to vinyl, so never checked Discogs until recently. I mean it isn’t even in Youtube. Plenty of copies for sale, turns out.

            RichM Yep and I’ve been looking for a digital copy more or less since then. That Sander K essential mix is brilliant, in my top 3 of all time.

                Matt it is a corker, was on replay for years. Was my go to mix for going jogging for a long time too

                  Hey, Livingroom-set record! Longest I’ve ever played was my last riverboat-set here in Turku, it was 9 hours. I did two of those in my riverboat DJeing career actually, both can be found in my Hearthis, the last one (from 2018) ends at 8 hours though, was quite drunk at that point so the rest was not something I wanted out there. 😃

                  I quit those gigs after that, the crowds started getting too young, and not willing to listen to anything other than stuff they know. I felt I couldn’t top that last night anyway, other than drink less beer, and more water. It was a scorching summer day, place was packed with a line to get in after the first two hours until the end.

                  Anybody else listen to their own mixes? Hard to understand why you wouldn’t, it should be all tracks you love

                    Homegrove absolutely. If you’re not liking the music you’re playing, you’re not doing it for the right reasons in my opinion.

                      Seven hours and you’re hitting us with Hale Bopp in at track six? Talk about blowing your wad early!

                        Homegrove I’m too critical normally, so I usually listen back to the ones that I think are decent and swerve the rest.

                          Amps well the bpm was 116 at that point
 And said remix was at + 5 to achieve that bpm. 😃

                            Homegrove I listen back to mine quite often, apart from the fact that I like all the tracks, it’s a good way to pick up on your mistakes.

                              Homegrove yes definitely listen to them if only to hear the mistakes - and you’ve scuppered my opening for the next one with the brilliant choice of Pharoah/Floating Points. However, I’m going in

                                I used to love tech house, and it took me a long time to understand why it had become a dirty word. Then someone pointed out to me that what tech house meant in 2000 is a very different thing to what it means now. This mix is my attempt to reclaim the genre for what I think it truly is. Half education with my personal favorites in the genre, half 2021 music. Hope you give it a chance if you think you hate tech house, to see what it once meant.
