Shows no one here listened to the back to back because I’m sure someone would’ve mentioned the travesty that is the way I slam it in, and that I played it in the first place. Without this board I would have never picked the vinyl from my collection when getting records together for the b2b. 
SM001 i’m sure anyone could find a spot for it in any mix really even though it sounds like the countdown clock! i was on about the vinyl - i have started on the vinyl again - it is as hard as i remember it - the thing is everything takes bloody ages and you cant see the bits to transition in - you have to listen to it and then work backwards . easy to see why everyone can be a DJ with the new equipment - with the vinyl the train crash is lurking around every corner.
Do most kids now learn how do DJ on CDJ’s? I suppose they do. I’d imagine it’s like learning how to drive in a manual car.

This week’s lockdown-mix comes two days late, sorry. Hadn’t done a techno mix in well over a year, so thought it was high time. All new music, apart from one classic trance from early 2000s. This was a two deck mix, as I felt like letting the tracks breathe a bit, instead of playing two at the same time through the mix, as I usually do with techno-mixes.

This week’s lockdown-mix is another one from the archives. 15 months on from my first ever mix, this is again almost all vinyl (one track from CD, I had a shitty Denon-copy to use), but now done at home, I’d gotten two Technics-decks at this point. Was pleasantly surprised how well the music in this has aged, last week’s was VERY 2001 for the most part. I also doubt I could let two tracks play that long on top of each other on vinyl these days. Beatmixing was such a pride-thing back then.

This week’s lockdown mix comes from the archives. This is me playing the official afterparty for John Digweed’s 4th visit to Finland, in November 2011. I stayed up all night at the main party, and still played the afterparty, and you can’t notice it from the playing. Could not do that today, 9 years later.

mono-stereo not this time. He came to eat kebab with his manager back stage the year before. He played in Helsinki for the same promoter three years in a row from 2010 onwards on the latter half of the year and I played the afterparty at all three.
