Along_the_Wire yeah, might be my best this year of posting long mixes. The one from May I think is also pretty good. Also still in all my platforms.
Homegrove-mixes
This week’s lockdown-mix is another one afterhours-mix from the archives. Had the pleasure of playing a couple of times in now long gone Redrum in Helsinki. It was the first club in Finland to have Function One-sound, so it was always a treat.
This one has a lot of really big tunes from 2010, and is sure to bring memories if you were of clubbing age ten years ago.
King Unique played the main party, and was invited to the afterparty. I guess he was really tired, but too polite to say no, because once we got there he found some couches in Redrum and promtly fell asleep. Don’t blame him, I was the first to play.

I’m more worried about the toilet situation. Does the Mrs not mind you pissing in a bottle?
Mad_Cyril Pop on Pachanga Boys ‘Time’ and you’ve got 15 minutes in your arse pocket.
Plenty of time to push one out whilst flicking through the latest updates on JC!
Nah sorry, I’m not SM001, finding tunes shouldn’t be that hard though, about 11 tunes per hour, so finding one with the tracklisting should need listening to samples to only couple of tunes on BP to find the right one.
I meant toilet breaks
Cue sheet for toilet breaks? Lol.
A POOue Sheet if you will….
Homegrove This is terrific H, I cracking trip down memory lane that. Cheers
This week’s lockdown mix comes from December 2009. It was the first real chill / down tempo-mix I’d ever done, and I worked on it for a long time if I remember correctly. I was newly single and feeling a bit lonely which you can definitely hear in this. I came upon it recently having not listened to it in a long time, and very much still liked it, so here it is, and I feel it is more appropriate for Christmas Day than some old techno-mix.

I can’t help but think this is all just laziness, H.
Heh, 2020-mix next week. It’s done on paper, still need to mix and record it. Was a bitch to just pick 30 tunes, bought so many this year.
Something new in January I promise!
Homegrove Bush
Where are you on Bush, Hannu. Worst band of all time or no?
I love that song. Otherwise I’m completely ignorant about them.
Bush, the band Nirvana could have been.
Alistair may have covid, but it seems he’s still willing to fight.
Guess we can add mental impairment to the docket of COVID symptoms for our man Alistair.

Delighted that my sarcasm was so heavily disguised. Bush were woeful
Year-mix for 2020. Not a year people will probably be eager to look back on, but at least the music was great. Once again Innervisions and Kompakt dominated as the labels to release the biggest tracks of the year for me. Every year I think they’ve lost it, but no, still plenty of amazing music released by them.

- Soma Soul feat. Simon Batten - Hurt (Luca Bacchetti ‘Endless’ Remix) [Endless]
One of the tracks of the year for sure.
Fitting ending with Agoria 3 letters. TUNE!
Nice one Hannu.
Chris Cargo and Yør Kultura tracks sounded great (not heard before)!
Looked through that and a few of them made me think ‘wtf is that’ or ‘how did i miss that’, only to give them a listen, realise I have them, and then realise I don’t know the names of anything I buy anymore. I have no desire to go back to vinyl, but I defo miss the physical media and artwork.
I don’t think we have a similar sound that much, but try to spot the two tunes on this mix that were stolen from Unbroken’s mixes (might’ve been the same mix actually).
Homegrove definitely Clavis - Matinada. Flowers on Monday?
Along_the_Wire think Matinada will make it onto most people’s end of year mixes (did mine). Been one of the most popular tracks all year from what I’ve heard. Great track!

I know he’s not everybody’s cup of tea (who is?) but Kolsch’s latest album has been on constant rotation for me this year. Has been a pick me up at times. There are at least six crackers on it and he has taken his sound to a whole new level as a producer. Many tracks from it have found themselves on mixes this year
ScottBailey ‘Art Of duplicity’ was one of the stand out tracks of the year imo.
Along_the_Wire Correct on the latter account.
Homegrove Matthew Dekay?
Licht.
