What events/gigs have you bought tickets for?
Bumped into Uncle John at the hotel I’m at. He was absolutely thrilled to have a selfie taken with me.
Send him my George Wal!
Wally you should’ve pissed down his trouser leg and told him you were Flares
Uncle John and Wal standing waiting on the lift in the hotel reception, 4am, John wanting his bed and Wally chewing his own eyebrows…
“You dabble much in the old futures and options markets, john? I’m all in, you can share all of my knowledge on jaded clubbers. Do you think Flares could kill someone? Are you an alias on JC? It’s top banter! Dermo left for 3 years then came back and…”
“I’ll just take the stairs, mate, enjoy the rest of your night!”

Digweed’s Helsinki gig is now December 1st. And a Friday. I need to take a day off from work for that to work for me, otherwise I will pull a Benson.
I’ve also decided that I want to see Gerd tomorrow. This was awesome.
Love this by him.
Aaannddd just got back to Leeds so can mooch about feeling sorry for myself with a partial hangover.
Had a grand time of it. Really liked the sub club. Tiny place but a cracking sound system, good crowd and cracking atmosphere. Can’t ask for more than that really. Nice to put a place to a name.
Went to see Four candles at the pre-party and he was decent. He rinsed it out in the club for the first 90 mins which was good but John came on and took it right back down and started again from scratch. Was a bit odd tbh. Diggers coming on at 00:30 and the club shuts at 4 so you’d think he’d rinse it out for a bit and then bring it down towards the end. Seemed to kill the vibe tbh - guessing someone should have had a word with FC to chill out or put him on last. Decent set from Digweed but not his best. For the first two hours he’d build it up through all the usual gears to some sort of plodding robot techno style tracks as the peak, letting them go on far too long before bringing it back down a bit, letting some emotion and atmosphere back into the tracks and building higher next time - nothing really stood out tbh - There was a soul-less plodding techno version of Compass Error played out that had me scratching my head - like what is the point of taking one of the most euphoric blasting tracks ever produced and making a plodder out of it (Guessing it’s Guy J remix lol) - He starting bringing the hammer down for the last 90 mins though which was much better. Worth the trip for sure.
Dixon, Peggy Gou and Bicep absolutely smashed it!
Blue Amazon playing in Leeds for a tenner in July. Might wander down.
Just saw A Winged Victory for the Sullen at Barbican. They were excellent as expected, but had no idea who they were - turns out the main guy is an old fat Michael Moore lookalike with a vague shit red MAGA-esque baseball cap on, who turned out to be a right mardy old cunt.
Faith have David Morales on in July…. Tempted.
Ooh, really?
