You can’t buy style.
What events/gigs have you bought tickets for?

Slasha
I’ve got a ticket for Afterlife on 27.11.21 at Printworks which for a variety of reasons I now have to miss. Gutted if I am honest. Happy to find a home for it on here - it’s a day gig so back in time for MoTD which is v civilised if you ask me ! PM me if you are interested. B
Just got All Points East tickets for next August
Chemical Bros, Kraftwerk, Erol Alkan and Daniel Avery. GET IN!

apyssjw @ArchimedesQ went on at 10 for the pre-sale
alistair nice one. Us riff-raff have to wait till tomorrow FFS!
apyssjw bugger! I must’ve missed that. How do you get on the pre-sale? Is it like, Dyson owners only or summat similar?
alistair how much were tickets?
ArchimedesQ £70 including all the fees
ArchimedesQ you had to sign up to a mailing list. I paid £60 (plus all the fees) which was apparently the fourth release but there were £40 ones listed as the ‘first release’.
Hoping to go to this in Jan

Went to see Nick Warren on Saturday. Afraid to say he wasn’t much cop (putting it politely) and the mix that inspired the evening out must have been a total one off or something. He certainly dropped some bangers but the mixing was too quick and the programming was poor (he mashed an absolute banger into a chilled breaks tune at one point early on and it was like ‘wah?’ and he was dropping tunes from a live set he released on MixCloud back in September including ‘novelty’ tunes like a cowgirl and new order crystals remix which didn’t help matters. Seemed more of a novelty party set than a DJ set tbh.
The venue wasn’t much to write home about - small intimate place but the sound system only worked in the main bit and it was a weird crowd - some nice people I got chatting to but some people absolutely off their faces, way past your average - I got a rollocking off a scouser because of the Newcastle takeover ‘buying the league’ who seemed oblivious about where he was at that point in time - a dealer was flogging acid and said I wasn’t hardcore enough when I wasn’t up for it. Fair enough I guess. lol. - it was reasonably busy and TBF, the people who were there were jumping but they didn’t get anywhere near selling out. They didn’t even check my tickets on the way in. You could say it’s close to xmas but I think Digweed / Sasha would have filled the place easily. I guess Warren and the soundgarden stuff just hasn’t got the pull to play bigger venues in the UK.
Nice to see some familiar faces and an evening out is an evening out but I’ll not be bothering with Warren or Joshua Brooks (the venue) again.
