Pretty decent night, not amazing.
Doors were supposed to open at 10pm, but didn’t open until 11pm due to a “last minute soundcheck”, so everyone in the huge queue got rained on pretty good.
The soundsytem was average at best. @Wasily and I tried a few different areas for sound quality both upstairs and down, but it seemed like the soundsystem had failed in places (maybe that was the reason for the last minute soundcheck?). Most of the sound was only coming from one speaker stack which was flown above the DJ booth. Upstairs it sounded like it was in mono (lol MC)!
The tunes were ok to start, bit plinkly plonky so was mostly chatting to Luke Brancaccio during this time. He was a good laugh and a right mess 😆
Diggers properly got going around 1am with a bit of a mini vortex and some good chug. By this time I was in the only place where the sound was half decent which was front and center by the booth. Met our @Smallman1 there who was kitchen sinking it (natch) like myself.
Because of the late start, Diggers played until 4am, not the advertised 3am, which was welcomed.
Only track I recognised was the Kaspar remix of Rex (the instrumental version that only John seems to have).
The night (club) was a 6/10 because of the sound issues, but always a good time hanging with @Wasily and was cool catching up with @Smallman1
