Along_the_Wire I had a work reunion yesterday - I know it sounds lame, but it was a great laugh, only the decent people turned up. I didn’t half employ a lot of fit birds in my time there.
Manski Along_the_Wire Persevere with the new album, definitely a grower. The production’s perhaps not as creative as some of their earlier stuff, but the songs are still very good. And I have to respectfully disagree with your comments about the lyrics. I think it further cements Matt Johnson’s status as one of the best lyricists of the last 50 years. I accept he’s still talking about the same old stuff - but, hey, the world is arguably more fucked now than it was when he was writing about it in the 80/90’s so it’s still relevant!
Along_the_Wire Manski I’ve listened to it three times and the most frequent emotion is a cringe. If that’s an emotion.

Mad_Cyril Hoping Nick will be talking requests tomorrow, have a long list of traybake’s I’d love to see him knock out
Mad_Cyril Smallman1 After I’ve taken him through the list of traybakes, I’m planning on screaming PLAY YEKE YEKE until he does. If he doesn’t, my plan is to sing the ‘lyrics’ over and over again
Smallman1 Not that you need them but - Bi sounkouroun lou la donkégna, ah, ah Bi sounkouroun lou la donkégna, ah, ah I madji I ma yélé I kanan n’bila nara ro N’bo n’bolo bila Kanfalani yana sara le ila Yékéké nimo yé ké yé ké Yékéké nimo yé ké yé ké
hugopal Smallman1 Not that you need them but - Yeah you don’t need to remember all that, just chant during the chorus: “Moussaka, paella, lasagna”
Wally Mad_Cyril Glad you had a good one Cyril. The time I went to see Warren at Joshua Brookes was fucking horrendous / massive let down. Was toying with going last night but full of cold at the moment. Textbook.
