  • What events/gigs have you bought tickets for?

Hugo stop being a fucking idiot.

A late entry in Bristol

OK, are you talking from experience , so the doorteam all know you on a first name basis ?

delged hope you enjoy the gig tomorrow. I’m looking forward to it too!

Wasily you’re right, it wasn’t great last time and the sound was weird. Hopefully they’ve learnt from feedback from last year (no pun intended) to improve the sound and atmosphere.

Dry-Tinder oh really? Why was that then? Didn’t realise that had happened. I remember there were delays getting into the venue last time as the queues to get in were massive but didn’t realise there’d been something occurring with the DJ booth.

Digweed, didn’t like the DJ booth location because it made him front and centre. It was supposed to be on the stage. There was also an event on before, so they couldn’t move it until the event finished, which is why there was a delay in getting in. I imagine he will be doing his sound check earlier today.

Hope they’ve ironed out all these problems ahead of later, was an absolute shit show last year.

Yep. Why I’m OUT this time tbh. Hope Digweed’s listened to the feedback and is front and center banging it out for everyone this evening. HAGO.

I’m off to see Loffler in Brighton on Saturday. Was looking forward to it until I listened to his latest album. What a load of absolute shit that is.

Wally Yep. Why I’m OUT this time tbh. Hope Digweed’s listened to the feedback and is front and center banging it out for everyone this evening. HAGO.

Doubt it. He’ll be set up in the corner again FO SHO.

So long as they sort the sound system out this time round, I don’t care where he is. We was promised START OF THE ART SOUND last time, but it sounded like he was playing through a sound bar he had in the booth.

Off to see Beck at the Royal Albert Hall on Saturday, playing with the BBC concert orchestra.

                Should be decent.

Manski Off to see Beck at the Royal Albert Hall on Saturday, playing with the BBC concert orchestra.

                  Should be decent.

                  That will be excellent!

Smallman1 Yes mate. Will be there with @Wasily so hopefully catch up with you at some point.

Hopefully not bump into too many of your doppelgangers this time, saying “Ed?!” 😂

                  Ha!

                  Good man!

See you and Was in there!

Along_the_Wire Let me know if you’re out for pre and/or post beers. Not 100% sure what we’re up to Saturday, but might be out and about in town…

Enjoy Bedrock tonight everyone, i’ll be at the next one

Dry-Tinder ah thanks for explaining. That makes so much more sense now in terms of the massive queues last year. The front and centre thing seems like such a strange thing to be an issue given the obvious impact it made on the sound balance in that space. Oh well.

Smallman1 yes indeed, I’m hoping so too. Should be ok. After all, the only way is up lol.

ScottBailey I’m looking forward to being there tonight and seeing whether/how it’s different to last year. I totally agree with you about the sound last year. On the plus side, given how poor the sound was at least it (in theory) automatically guarantees that tonight can only be an improvement lol. I have a good feeling about tonight. Reckon it’s going to be good.

wrongun Faith parties - not dissimilar average age to the thing we went to on New Year’s Day. You’ll feel more of a young’un than a wrong’un…. 😉

We’re going to head to Bat & Ball Covent Garden for pre-drinks tonight now as apparently The Crown is absolutely rammed with it being so tiny and the footy being on.

Whatever happened I’d say everyone was in Great Form☆

Presto headed down for it from home in Tamworth, and has somehow ended up in Brighton…

Great great night. Firstly, the music was out of sight. The first couple of hours were full of tough classic bedrock style bangers. Driving kick drums. All brilliant new stuff. Consistently saying to myself “wow, that’s fucking good” …………and they just suited the whole vibe. Never heard of any of them. I was fucked and at about 2 kept saying to myself when he plays a shit one I’ll go but he just kept pulling them out of bag. Much Bigger crowd this year. Usual friendly bunch. Always surprised at the diverse age range -lots there in their 20s and 30s really into this music. The energy levels in the room were really good. Had a great drink with Ed and Wasily and we bumped into Nick M who is well up for the special event next month! So much better than last year and can’t wait for Scotty’s reflections on those new tunes.

baggers44 Yeah really good night. Lot of energy on the floor. Great to see you as well mate. Liked the LSG Netherworld remix he played. Also heard this while at the bar:

baggers44 totally agree with you! It was a million times better than last year and I’d go as far as saying it was my favourite Diggers gig ever in a venue that size. Obvs not as good as his set at Sub Club a couple of months ago but he managed to get the atmosphere where it needed to be in that big space this year. Like you said, it was just banger after banger right till the very end! He didn’t drop the ball once. Insanely good sound and such a lovely crowd! So glad I didn’t sack it off and made the effort to go after the disappointment of last year! Memories were definitely made in the best way this time around.
