Digweed was sensational at Noisily on Sunday. 4 hours of tunes I have never heard before, with an extra 30 minute encore of classics. I read he had travel chaos (cancelled flight) but he still made it via trains - what a legend. I was proper toasted after being āon itā since Thursday night, but Diggers was the perfect way to end the festival and some primal energy was found in the depths of my reserves. Proper rocking.
Props also to OC&Verde who dropped a shedload of club classic remixes on Friday night, top work. And also out to all the stunning psy trance women who barely wore anything for 4 days and rocked it to 160bpm+ tunage.
The soundsystem at this festival (outdoors, in the uk!!) was the finest I have heard in my 23 years of festival going, with no drop in quality all night (4am curfew). Would give many clubs a run for their money. Surround sound stacks of well tuned Funktion 1 (plus extra bass bins) with a shit ton of lasers, mirror balls, smoke and bubbles. Smiling happy beautiful festival people everywhere. Even the smaller stages all had excellent sound and production. Next level work.
And the weather. I am actually fucking glad it was set in a valley in a forest because it was about 5Ā° cooler in there. If you left the arena area in the day and trudged back to the campsite you baked.
Never really want to set foot in anything like SW4 ever again - made it look like Phoenix Nights.
