I’m still buzzing from the week prior. Been several years since I’ve been able to see him spin. To say my mind was blown is an understatement!!! Yes I recognized several tracks or parts of tracks in one form or another. (I think John uses Stems) But that was still a tiny handful of what he played over those 210 minutes. Yes, even for those are pretty up to date on releases, John plays music so fresh and up front we have no idea what those tracks are until much later if at all.
He is the master selector, technician, vortex generator, tone setter, room reader, “putty manipulator”, and spiritual host & guide. Hope that kinda makes sense.
