Funny, was also at the Drumsheds on Friday and really enjoyed it. I won’t argue with the description of the venue, it couldn’t be anything other than what it is. Was a younger crowd and I will say they do like shoving through other people to get near the front. There was a lot of that later on.
It was basically a festival line up - and jumping between rooms from live acts to slamming drum and bass was great.
Bit annoyed I couldn’t get there to see Swoose, Otik and Special Request who were all on early and Sully, as had to sit through the Daphni set which didn’t do much for me. Thought Clark (live) Bicep & Sherelle were all excellent. But then I love breaks, dnb and some techno.
Sound was absolutely fine. Great in the small rooms near the speaker stacks. Bit boomy round the edges in the main room, but perfectly fine in the middle.
I don’t imagine I’ll go again soon though. This was the only interesting line up from this ‘season’ and I don’t see anything that’s immediately interesting in the next.
