alistair i was up for this too, but would rather watch Liverpool win the CL again

RichM Cheers. U-Turn performed at least until after the semis

I fancied it, but there’s some proper dross on the line up. I’d rather see him live.

Dan would like to have seen Mathew Jonson live too

The last time I saw Nicole Moudaber was on the now legendary night at Output in NYC with Zackster.

Smallman1 Miss that venue most in particular that Funktion sound. What took its place appears to be fun but the parties are in the daytime so to not disrupt the neighbors.

Early review on Arches. Hypnotic, crisp audio-quality and age does not show one bit. This is mental.

        • Dan replied to this.

Dan track selection would indicate that, yeah

I don’t have a download link for this, soz. The track at 25 mins and the last 15 mins (some classic Sasha sounding head music) is all I’ll remember from this, especially the last track, my kind of filth. Can see how it suits Watergate as I’m sure Hugo and his light fawn corduroys would agree.

Shame Hugo doesn’t go out any more, there’s tonnes of fun to be had still.

Sasha brooklyn heaters mix on radio one. Anyone got a sound cloud downloadable linky?

Fair play for being one of the only board members who can still be arsed with Sasha’s inane shite, Wal.

Wally Sasha all night long at Fabric on Sept 10th.

            Am in Ibiza.

            Get the violins out.

alistair same here, was hoping it would have been a daytime event

            a month later

SM001 well give us a link so we can listen. Not a lot mixcloud subscribers here.

            Echo

When’s he playing Lilith Fair. Is he going B2B with KD Lang.

SM001 It’s been out at least 12 hours. Where’s the full TL and tracklist queues SM? 😛

Looks like a one month old Cattaneo tracklist

Only 40 mins in and one questionable track aside, it’s a banger.

I’ll be reporting LIVE AND DIRECT from the coalface tonight. If he shows up.

One of those had to be there sets. The last 30 mins or so are decent and there’s a sprinkling of crackers but most of it is ‘meh’

Thursday night he was on legendary form. Late by 2 hours because of flights cancelled out of Ibiza, he arrived at 2am and was bouncing and jumping around the place pretty well for a “big guy”.

Yunus Guvenen was on earlier in the night, never saw him before and he played some decent prog numbers with one or two classic remixes.
The guy who played after him was really impressive, “BeeGee”. Dark rolling prog in the Jimmy Van M mold.
By this time there were more people in the VIP area than on the dancefloor, for real. Granted it looks like it’s half the size of the club but yeah, most had given up thinking Sasha wasn’t going to show up. The doris count was at least 3 to 1, absolute bangers all over the place.
When he finally jumped on he started with that new remix of Massive Attack ‘Teardrop’ which is doing the rounds and it sounded immense on the system. From there he banged it out whilst pogoing almost into the crowd. The promoters were feeding him shots in between tracks and a few times he was stood there in the Jesus pose staring at the lazers shooting out above him, looking like he was going to keel over. Fist bumping and high fiving anyone who came near him at one point he cut the sound during a build and shouted “Commmmme oooooon”. Mangled.
Some tracks were familiar but I couldn’t tell you what they were, only Dry & High which sounded great the way he placed it between 2 monsters and I did notice an amazing mix of Aviator towards the end which pisses all over the original release, very moody.
By 3:40am the place was emptying out and during his last track, which wasn’t a vocal number “hit” as per usual, him and the entire VIP section disappeared through a door, never to return. One of the sound lads actually turned off the music, lol. Judging by the condition of everyone around him and including himself, there was obviously a raging session going on elsewhere.
I’ve seen him a few times now where it’s not a high profile gig with cameras and industry people hanging around and he’s always much better, he seems to relax a bit more and it shows in the performance. He still very much has it but there’s defo a time and a place.

LT42 He’s like that when he plays in Ireland.

                LT42

Did he play a new mix of Ladytron Destroy Everything you Touch? He did in Ibiza a couple of weeks ago when I saw him
