anyone here still think the nfl doesn’t want the bucs in the super bowl? look at the no call on the dpi pick. that’s a game changing no call and it was blatantly obvious.

jonattonyeah there’s nothing the nfl loves more than brady, though mahomes looks like he’ll be filling that role. it’s so obvious, i’ve been calling a bucs/kc super bowl since october for this reason alone. you can’t have a league make that much money and not have any accountability for officiating as bad as it is every week. this entire year was just as bad as the replacement refs during the strike.

I just think officiating issues are rooted in incompetence and the reality that slowmo replays make us see far more than they can see in real time. Why would the NFL risk EVERYTHING just for one Super Bowl that everyone will watch irrespective of the matchup? It’s not like Rodgers is like Joe Flacco or something. I don’t see the NFL wrecking their rep to get the Bucs, regardless of Brady, in the SB.

jonattonyeah why? the same reason the raiders are a massive statistical outlier when it comes to penalties over the last 3 decades. the nfl has never pretended to be impartial when it comes to officiating.

and lol, if i turn it on now, i’m either going to jynx it or they’ll get my hopes up and then hand the game to the bucs and just piss me off even more. 🤣

Yeah okay but the Raiders brought negative attention upon themselves with their decade-long antics under Al Davis and thinking Bill Romanowski was a sane choice at LB. Negative bias I can agree with (oft earned - see: Suh, Namakan) but I find it hard to believe the league is telling officials to favor Tampa Bay, of all teams, to be in the biggest TV event of the year.

EDIT your man Brady has also thrown three interceptions since you turned it off LOL
