Along_the_Wire Shanahan needs to take a long hard look at himself. Jettisoning the run game in the second half was just stupid. Purdy can’t carry the team and the run game was excellent in the first half.

Along_the_Wire 303abuser to be fair, the refs weren’t biased in this one - missed an awful hold on a third down, but that happens all the time and can see how it was missed
303abuser Along_the_Wire No idea, I didn’t watch the game. I did call the chiefs in November without watching a game though. Until the nfl has dedicated refs with performance standards, I’m going to assume it’s fixed to some extent and this whole thing with Taylor Swift feels manufactured for ratings.
zackster The refs called a great game, and I believe the Chiefs were the more penalized of the two sides. A blocked extra point was a deciding factor.
303abuser That’s fine, but the nfl is full of mystery calls every single week. The nfl picks their teams and they get the benefit of well-timed calls in every game. We saw it with the patriots for years and now it’s the chiefs.

303abuser So you think the nfl refs are doing a good job? Call it opportunistic marketing if you want. It’s not scripted like pro wrestling, but there is clearly a bias toward certain teams.
zackster Smallman1 fan base doesn’t really extend beyond the market. The Cowboys are the most popular team in at least 15 states. Eagles are southern NJ and Eastern PA.
zackster I absolutely think Vegas affects officiating decisions but the idea that the league wants the Chiefs to be the next Patriots seems a bit far fetched to me.
Along_the_Wire zackster you need to look at their games more closely. What about that hold at the end of the game in LY Super Bowl? You’ll remember that.
