Shanahan needs to take a long hard look at himself. Jettisoning the run game in the second half was just stupid. Purdy can’t carry the team and the run game was excellent in the first half.

303abuser to be fair, the refs weren’t biased in this one - missed an awful hold on a third down, but that happens all the time and can see how it was missed

Along_the_Wire No idea, I didn’t watch the game. I did call the chiefs in November without watching a game though. Until the nfl has dedicated refs with performance standards, I’m going to assume it’s fixed to some extent and this whole thing with Taylor Swift feels manufactured for ratings.

LOL! I watched between 6 and 10 regular season Chiefs games this season, and I watched 100% of their play off games. They were as penalized as any team and had a very rocky road to this SB win. Does Mahomes get a lot of favorable calls? Absolutely. All of the greats do. They got this ring through a talented coaching staff cleaning up sloppy play, and with a defensive unit the likes of which they have never had before in the Mahomes era.

The refs called a great game, and I believe the Chiefs were the more penalized of the two sides. A blocked extra point was a deciding factor.

That’s fine, but the nfl is full of mystery calls every single week. The nfl picks their teams and they get the benefit of well-timed calls in every game. We saw it with the patriots for years and now it’s the chiefs.

So you think the nfl refs are doing a good job? Call it opportunistic marketing if you want. It’s not scripted like pro wrestling, but there is clearly a bias toward certain teams.

Why aren’t the NFL bias to the mighty Philadelphia Eagles?

Smallman1 fan base doesn’t really extend beyond the market. The Cowboys are the most popular team in at least 15 states. Eagles are southern NJ and Eastern PA.

I absolutely think Vegas affects officiating decisions but the idea that the league wants the Chiefs to be the next Patriots seems a bit far fetched to me.
