I see 4 people have been arrested for the racial abuse online to the England players. When proven guilty these fuckers should be named and shamed by the media. If they are happy to write that shit on social media, then they must be ok with being shown to the public what they wrote. I’m guessing that won’t want that as they don’t want their friends and family and work to know they are racist scum.

I think that would go a long way in discouraging the abuse these people believe is ok to write, as I bet most wouldn’t want to get caught. Doesn’t change their views but at least it will help to reduce the shit people write to other human beings.

Let’s hope they catch more, prosecute them, and use this as a way of starting to really clamp down on the morons who do this. I’m sure that will then spread to other parts of social media that’s not football.

I really hope they throw the book at them. The scenes in the latter stages of the tournament by some England fans was disgraceful. I really thought we’d moved away from this. As someone growing up through the shitty 80s and hitting the 90s and the new found optimism, the news and scenes over the past few days have been like nothing has been achieved and society hasn’t moved forward. Wasted generations just dressed up by the EPL/Italia90/RaveCulture etc etc

In a way I hope whoever is responsible are silly old gammons rather than the younger generation. The sooner we rid ourselves of these old racist remenents of the 70s/80s the better and we can all move forward together.

Why can’t our police just start getting tough with this type of behaviour. Then Massive fines, community service or a few weeks banged up, passport taken away for next year’s tournament . Or will that not prevent this type of behaviour

I know it’s hardly a 100% accurate barometer of society but still a decent indicator, if you read the comments sections of social media pages like sky sports etc, the english problem definitely isn’t restricted solely to old gammons, there are a load of wee wankers who look about 16 spouting the same shite as the older cunts. They love chatting about their firms, claiming the universal hatred for england fans means they are living in peoples heads rent free etc, love booing the woke wankers as they only bend the knee for their queen and the fallen lol. It’s cringe-tastic on a spectacular scale. I genuinely feel for proper england fans as you are basically all tarred with the same brush as far as fans from other countries are concerned.

Embarrassing the worlds view of England post the final. Im back in the US now and pretty hard explaining/justifying what happened.

I went to see the game in a local pub here in Hoboken, NJ . Had a nice “Chips Butty” 😆 , few beers and the bar was pretty much half supporting Italy / England. Superb atmos, fans definately giving out to each other but never crossing the line. Sat down with a bunch of fans supporting both teams at the end and had a good old chin wag assessing the game. Very rare that would ever happen in England. Absolutely no trouble I saw after the game.

Not sure what the answer is. The English mentality has always been…how can I put it….a bit mental. Look at our warring past. Brits abroad on holiday, booze culture, beans culture….we do top the charts in bantz and going potty, but I think that image is getting a bit jaded and nasty now what with racism, everyone on the Bronson, cheap booze and misery of modern day life provoking some to kick off.

School report would be very disspapointed and could do a lot, lot better!
