It’s all over the place. We’ve enjoyed the polar vortex for a couple of weeks, most of which was below -30 with windchills below -40. Apparently El Niño is back this week, forecast highs are above freezing by Thursday and next Saturday is 9 degrees. We see some crazy temperature swings, but this is a bit much.

I’m going for a trail run today, first time outside and not on the treadmill in 2 weeks. It’s -13, -17 with wind, nicest day we’ve had in a while. And we’re getting 5ish cm of snow today too. I’d rather it be -5 than above freezing, it’s going to be a mess out there next week and slippery when it all freezes every night.

I’m not sure this is a complaint, but the weather is completely off the rails. Two weeks ago it was -40, normal high is -6, low is -15. Today is 10 degrees above zero before sunrise. I could hear running water all night from the snow melting off the roof. Just bizarre.

Homegrove I sympathize, today finally looks like our first nice day of the year, 17 degrees and not much wind. Last week every morning was -13 and we got 5 cm of snow in a couple of hours one night. We’ve had 20-50 km/h winds everyday for the last two weeks.

I enjoy this ‘colder’ weather which is actually quite normal for April (at least it used to be untill a few years ago it started getting abnormally hot in April already).

The amount of complaints and moaning over a bit of wind a rain.. lol.

I realise that I’m probably more of an exception.. To me anything over 28C is disgusting.. anything over 30C is my definition of hell. Especially here in the Netherlands near the German border where things tend to get very stuffy and humid fucking fast 🤮
