SM001 Great memories mate. Like your mum, Wimbledon and I go right back. First final I remember clearly was Becker Lendl in 86. Believe it or not, I play to a half decent standard 😂

alistair My first memory was the year before - when Becker beat Kevin Curren in the Men’s final. I weirdly remember watching it at a local church fete event that my mum was helping out at.

vinnyt77 amazing to think he won at 17 and defended at 18. Unlikely to ever be repeated

I vaguely remember Pat Cash winning it and then Becker and Edberg’s brief rivalry. Agassi in’92 was a great watch. I smashed a few windows playing in the back garden over the years. 😅

        I’ll be tuning in.

My best friend is part of the BBC presenting team this year.

Well, the lad is trading blows with Novak for the moment

alistair bang goes work for the next hour! i can’t stand Djokovic - in fact i don’t think i’ve liked any tennis player since the lightening serve of Roscoe Tanner!

alistair Indeed…….Wilander won the French at 17.

I’d really like to see the young Greek win it…him or Berretini.

However I’ll stick my neck out (like Ed) and predict Djokovic will prob win Wimbledon/US Open and take his place as the greatest. I’m not a fan but he has a knack of winning on the biggest stage.
