The west belfast uvf used to practice that exact manoeuvre in the late 80s. They’d jump off the cave hill in belfast, with wooden rifles so that the cops couldn’t lift them when they landed. Used to try to ensure they all landed on the same football pitch to practice storming a catholic housing estate. Wore berets on top of their balaclavas too.
