vinnyt77 Nice. Would appreciate a share if you have it mate.

And yes, there wasn’t anything musically impressive with the 2nd beat mixes, I agree.

I don’t think that they ripped off Digweed, I believe that GU acquired rights to tracks on GU mixes and never paid up. I believe they were mainly tracks off Nick Warren’s Budapest mix. The artist posted about it on GU’s forum. TBH, think that they were trying to get permissions for free to save money.

The 24/7 releases were both supposed to be part of the City Series, but became 27/7’s to reduce costs. Both artists and Sander, stated that they were due to do 2003 GU City mixes in the 2002 DJ Mag Top 100 DJ’s

      All killer, no filler.

Dry-Tinder I am telling you guys, Digweed flat out said they bought a boat instead of paying him. Maybe he was referring to others but I am almost positive he was talking about himself. I think he said it on the Bedrock forum.

Fairly sure I recall hearing /seeing that somewhere too

They definitely 100% fucked over Studio Lobster who did the design work for the early series entries. Which is why the look changed to a shit knock off style for the later entries.

Let us never forget that for all of their sins, GU also gave us CD1 of GU13.

Old-Dutch More like making a career out of making bangers with Charli XCX.

The Nelly Furtado - Parking Lot remix in the Boiler Room set is ridic.

It was in an interview with DJ Mag back in 2002. He was asked his thoughts on GU going under and he said that they should have paid their debts instead of wasting money on speedboats
