Let us never forget that for all of their sins, GU also gave us CD1 of GU13.

Old-Dutch More like making a career out of making bangers with Charli XCX.

The Nelly Furtado - Parking Lot remix in the Boiler Room set is ridic.

zackster

It was in an interview with DJ Mag back in 2002. He was asked his thoughts on GU going under and he said that they should have paid their debts instead of wasting money on speedboats

Same. I could have sworn he added his 2 cents to a discussion on Bedrock one time, and referenced the same issue.

If we could get the year nailed that would be great lads.

You’ve had at least a year to fix your shit fucking roof and your doorbell wired to another person’s residence.

    Slow-moving cunt.

Making progress on the roof and the doorbell shall remain as it is, it’s taken on a certain charm now!

2002 was when GU went into liquidation. Nick Warren’s Reykjavik didn’t get released until over 6 months after the actual gig. It was the same with Toronto. 2002 was the start of the clubbing recession. Gatecrasher, Cream, Gods etc all stopped doing weekly nights due to low numbers through the door

CD1 of Reykjavik is most enjoyable I must say.

Homegrove Reykjavik was arguably the last great GU. First CD anyway.

Opening salvo of Shanghai was ace, but petered out in second half and think the lid finally closed

Cd2 of compiled and mixed by John on Apple Music is, I think, a cut above cd1
