Disc 2s of Superior Quality
Smallman1 Or the greatest moment in history as I like to call it.
Fixed that for you.
jonattonyeah Fixed that for you.
A lol for Jonatton!
He’s flipfloping!
One good CD does not a legendary Prog Dj make Alistair!
Moussaka is the best thing Warren has ever put out.
jonattonyeah Even that looked burnt.
GU = Greasy Undercooked.
‘Obvious ingrediants, badly put together’ Dom Phillips
i’ve only seen nick warren twice, once on his own and once with jody on one of the wow tours. he can’t mix, but he played some quality records. i’ve said it before, but there are few djs who benefited more from the digital revolution. not having to beat match really helped the quality of his sets.
I’ve seen Nick too many times to count. He delivered each and every time. Even the night he played both Sparc and the awful Mr Brightside remix was fun.

Sheesh those are years apart. Sparc and Killers?
I liked that TWD mix of Mr Brightside. Of its time but brought the house down when I played a Halloween party back in like…2005? 2006? I dunno. Just remember I was nursing an all time hangover and wearing a dress with a scowl on my face as I played for 5 plus hours in a filthy-yet-packed warehouse. Good times. Also played “Patricia Never Leaves The House”. That’s all I remember.
EDIT still a solid tune…
jonattonyeah Patricia Never Leaves The House”. That’s all I remember.
EDIT still a solid tune…
Rock solid
Work of art.
Progue is probably the best live vinyl mixed cd of all time.
Are you hammered? That disc has “Beachball” on it. Possibly the worst song ever made irrespective of how it’s mixed in or out or whatever. Tall Paul could’ve done a better two disc set.
- I like beach ball
- I’ve had a few drinks
Doing Disc 1 now. It’s alright! Flows really well.
But saying it’s the best vinyl mix of all time is utterly insane.
jonattonyeah disc one fucking rips. Jeff Mills Live at the Liquid Room is the best live vinyl mix ever, but Prague is massively underrated and should be up there.

I’ll put this against anything from that year (1997). Bash from back to front.
Let’s not forget that Zack, quite emphatically, said that half of CD 2 of San Fran was full of filler.
jonattonyeah am not familiar. Will check it out.
Can I throw garnier’s labatoire mix into the discussion. Acid eiffle and nervous acid are all on cd2

zackster NY still better.
Oakey putting the scones in diSC ONE since 007
ScottBailey NY still better.

YES Scott Bailey!

Prague is a ripper of a GU and disc 1 of Rekjavik is sublime. Shanghai is excellent and Budapest is even better. Combine that with his best in class back to mine and Way out West stuff and Nick’s place at the top of the prog table is sealed. Nick’s cream residency was way better than Oakie’s cheesefest
alistair Nick’s place at the top of the prog table
I smell a redaction coming…

ScottBailey those who disagree are either wilfully blind, tone deaf or didn’t see him during this period.
Wow. Just wow.
alistair I don’t dislike Nick, but to put him at Top of the Progs?! Yikes
alistair i have seen him a number of times during this period and at best, he is a good warm up for top prog table. (only if he keeps away from yeke yeke)

Christian A table consists of more than two seats and you need to be more than just a good dj (which he is) to be on it. Production work, mix cds, good taste etc count too. Besides Sasha and Digweed, who has done more and stayed as high profile? Nick never played the mid noughties electro shite either
