I’m currently isolating because my youngest is coughing his lungs up and we are waiting for test results. That’s the 3rd time he’s had to go for a test now - the element of surprise has gone and now he just hates me for it.

            Rubbish one. We’ve had to do a round of pcr’s as there are now, for the first time, a number of cases at the little one’s nursery. I’m sort of amazed its taken this long for it to hit the nursery - but it does maybe speak to a rise in cases at the moment.

            It’s everywhere - schools and nurseries especially - it’s where I got it from.

            The gov wants shooting for deciding that they’ve done enough and now it’s time to get back to work. Fucking cunts.

            Mutterings Germany are about to go into another lockdown. Wouldn’t surprise me if it happens here.

              I went to town on an amazing Indian takeaway which I wanted to make sure I got in before I lost mine. Discovering you’ve lost your sense of smell and taste as you bite into a tandoori lamb chop starter with £70’s worth of food sitting in front of you is a cruel cunt.

                  I agree with the government - things have to get back to normal. Take the booster when offered and move on.

                  Germany et al are in this mess because they opened up later than us as much as anything else.

                      Along_the_Wire Things aren’t back to “normal” though are they? People are still dying, hospitals are under intense pressure and it’s going to become a permanent thing - catch covid once or twice a year and just get on with it. Fuck that. It’s fucking awful and despite being double vaxxed, people can still become really ill.

                      If they want to go down that route, make vaccinations and mask wearing mandatory.
