But then I quickly pull up this clip and realise the vice grip that he is able to put on a room. Certainly have to catch him in the proper atmosphere. Admittedly his entry and respect is unmatched.

zackster “Several tracks sound like something that would have come out on Audio Therapy back in 06” cracking comment and is so very true

Any chance a share on the Dixon set from somebody who downloaded please 🙂

zackster And the to top it all off, I have the mental image of Dixon standing up there, wearing a matching Dragon Ball Z shirt and short combo, looking like the first person to successfully contract Covid for a second time.

      This gets a lol!

Can someone send me the Dixon link please?

      Cheers.

I’ll add it soonish. I liked it, first half was a lot better though, couldn’t believe he closed with the worst track of the set, but then his best mix CD (Body Language vol 4) had a bonkers last track too that made no sense.

Christian The track around 37 min is horrific. Has Dave Seamen written all over it!

zackster How do you dance to this shit? You can’t two step, thats for sure

🧓 👴 middle aged man post of the week 😅

zackster I think the mixing is administered with the festival ‘feel’ in mind ie. filter and drop the kick from the incoming track etc, don’t get me wrong i thought it was unusual myself
I think the music in this mix is fairly decent imo although the crowd noises are annoying. Its certainly going in a better direction than either of the two lockdown offerings

His sound isn’t really a sound that relies on constant energy and needs big baselines therefore I know this style makes no sense to you Zack but neither does standing on a floor listening to 136BPM techno to me. You feel me?

      Horses for Courses, brother Zee.

See, here is the real problem with the Dixon brainwashing. Sean is standing when he should be dancing! I prescribe 50ccs of Bob Hood, straight to the heart.

There’s no brainwashing Zack. I’m his biggest critic as well as his biggest fan.

in his youth Sean would have been stripped to the waist, dripping with sweat amongst the strobe lights and dry ice, a bottle of amyl up one nostril and a Vicks up the other dancing like Hiawatha to the latest untz-untz track by Dougal or Sharkey. He’s Irish after all. Nowadays he prefers to eat gluten-free banana bread while lounging on his whicker armchair, listening to ethnic-voiced wishy-wash haus from the Dixon stable.

Lol. Would never had Sean down as happy hardcore juggler.

Millsy You should see him riverdance to some of the old Universe tapes. A powerful mix of grace and speed.
