alistair gcw You must have turned off just before Budakid Orrery which sounds great at 4 hour mark. His mixing is flawless. Funny watching it on Youtube. I mean its quite an epic production shall we say. Doing the set at an airport is BIG TIME!!
gcw alistair I was a big fan of Hernan’s sets from 2003 - 2013 time, but since then there doesn’t seem to be anything memorable about his sets at all IMO. The odd decent tune here and there I suppose. Play any 5 minute segment from any one of his sets and then another 5 minute segment from a different set, and it would be hard to spot the difference.
alistair gcw I like him. If I am in the mood for prog, I tend to turn to him and Guy J. Funny really as all of the actual shows that I been to in the last 18 months have all been non prog
gcw alistair try and track down some Metrodance shows from 2008-2010 time. a lot of really good prog in there that I never heard any other DJs play then or since
alistair gcw Have you heard any of Emi Galvan or Kamilo Saclemente’s recent stuff? Very good indeed. Warren has been raising their profiles and quite right too.
Unbroken1 …apropos of nothing, I tend to avoid anything that refers to itself as ‘progressive’, as I find its usually tepid shite
Amps Unbroken1 What do you look for then linguistically when you want muscular, epic, transcendental, genre bending music for that soothes the soul?
alistair Beatport “progressive house” is nothing of the sort. I have nothing but disdain for that site. They would label Artbat techno
Mad_Cyril alistair Dont listen to much prog nowadays, shite like that 5hr drudgeathon you posted have put me off. Occasionally stick a Lucas Rossi mix on for a long drive, that would be about it for me and Prog. Hope that works for your bullshit detector 🤣🤣
