Heno I was at the night to! Was the weekend of the Manchester derby , we missed the flights home to, all my fault

Ha.

I was at Leeds Uni at the time so took the (Biz)TransPennine Express train across. I fell asleep on the train back and woke up in fucking Northallerton. Then had to wait another hour on the platform freezing my tits off to get a train back the other way.

All you fuckers had your tops off, reaching for the lazers when BT goes into Timo Maas.

There was a smattering of top tunes but its not even in his top 5 according to Readers Digest.

Apparition - Chipinque into Radio Rage was the transition.

Way to set up and then drop an absolute banger, early doors.

From his post 2002 era, Ive always liked the Malta 4 hr mix from 2008.

      Opens with Sidereel - Silence

I recall the Panaroma Bar mix, must have been 2011-12 maybe, being great for an afterhour double drop night.

        whatever

seanc80 He played about an hour & half of that set at Fabric. 👍🏻

I was also at that night in manc, I recall Sasha’s dad being there? Cant really remember much else as i was completely off my banger.

Just listening now, hard to describe how much I dislike that opener.

First half hour is Audion style dross. It’s so far from his best mix I can only assume @PDJ is trolling us all?

PDJ I was also there, this was at the original venue with terrible sound? One of my first Sasha gigs, if not the first, I was 20ish. It really did go off towards the end, that S&V remix was epic at the end

Still love Audio - Mouth to Mouth, what an absolute monster!

new years 99? i think, the essential mix that opened with orkidea - unity is probably my favorite.

Most of his mixes post-2002 or so I didn’t like at the time, but have warmed up to them over the years.

People who have regulation pronouns, who put their preferred pronouns in their e-mail signature are the real heroes

Ed’s are ‘trans’, ‘ledge’ and ‘bantsmith’

Sasha at Loft Studios in 2012 was fucking epic. Think that’s where that photo-shopped to death thing was from. Anyone got a copy of that?

Dan Fantastic track - yeah I can remember that London car park gig being the same weekend. I can imagine the sets being incredibly similar.

Seems like a lot of us were at the Manc one.

Dan I was there for that one too - got chatting to him at the end and he gave me a copy of his Live at Avalon CD numbered 0/10000… so shouldn’t really exist. Think that was also 2006 from memory.

Along_the_Wire That doctored photo was hilarious - be good to see it again if anyone has it.

I also had a ticket for that but couldn’t go in the end because I ended up getting attacked the night before - proper hospital job. Gutted.

PDJ I ended up getting attacked the night before

Certainly Ed’s fault given his turgid reputation in the north.

Was at the Shoreditch car park and the Loft gigs. Great nights

                    jonattonyeah
                    Irks me somewhat.

Was asked to by one of my clients, informed them I had no preferred pronouns, which I really don’t.

Flummoxed them a bit so they moved in

I remember Spooky being a bit of a letdown that night, playing a load of wishy-washy prog for a warm-up. Think Sasha just about rescued it…

Old-Dutch Drunken Monkey pre gig bites and Plastic People afterward. Ended up chatting to Demi in there.

Yeah I get it. Being where I am, we have A LOT of trans patients and coworkers. The email thing, I was told, is really there to keep us mindful. But I’m with you, call me whatever. Pongwater works. Where I get lost is the they/them. If you’re trans, that’s pretty fucking obvious. But if you’re just choosing to be non-binary, don’t get pissy if I’m not perfect all the time.

The funny ones are those who went through hormone therapy at like 18 only to realize later on that, actually, they’re just gay. Hard to turn back the clock on that one! Happens a fair amount with trans men. Growing beards and shit. Nah, you’re just a dike. Nothing wrong with that.

Does that happen a lot? Asking for a friend (Millsy).
