I see it as that being 60 years ago, as they say - different times. Ukraine was basically bullied/duped to give up it’s nuclear weapons by Russia recently and Russia has actually invaded Ukraine and annexed parts of it. Plus this new invasion based on more nonsense - at least they had the integrity to not invent evidence of WMDs.
Cuba wasn’t invaded really by USA and never had any of it’s own nuclear weapons to threaten anyone. The threat of nuclear weapons in Cuba was direct from USSR to threaten USA. USA doing a load of mental provocative stuff whenever possible all over the shop at the same time.
Russia is obviously constantly bricking it by any and all of the former Republics and that part of Europe not playing ball, especially if or wanting in NATO…it’s just aggression on their part to try and avoid that. Obviously USA is a huge part of NATO but the whole thing is just really stupid and strange. Russia/USSR/Ukraine etc goes back hundreds of years.
Yes, it’s almost certainly all about power/money through the ages so pretty much any ‘side’ is the same…agree about the military industrial complex stoking it. Obviously energy supply is the thing now as well.
Oakley are in on it somehow since the first Gulf War too.
