Hursty none of that is up for debate or groundbreaking in terms of behaviour, Hursty. We know Russia are beligerent, nobody is saying they are saints. The argument I’m making is it’s no different to the beligerent behaviour of the West, albeit with less use of cluster bombs. I’ve heard it summed up as “a quick death by blunt force or slow death by strangulation of the soul.” The former being the one that strikes a chord for TV ratings in the West and plays on hearts & minds (look at the wall to wall coverage we’re seeing and how Putin has been compared to Hitler?!?!), the latter is boring and just doesn’t work for ratings but is the tried and tested method of Washington, it flies under the radar perfectly. Both are just as bad as each other as ultimately normal people are the ones who get fucked.
The French steamrolled into Mali recently and have played a huge role in the civil war there, many civilians have suffered at their hands. Same in Yemen with the UK & US funded atrocities, I don’t see many Yemeni or Malian flags as avatars on social media if any, do you? Or is it less beligerent somehow if it’s the “good guys” doing the killing? Both sides are bullies and the quicker everyone realises that the better.
