Unbroken1 I click the hashtag symbol and it orders them, or reverses them, but I can’t drag tracks up and down to re-order whilst hashtag is selected
Mix Club - The Remedial Class
You can only re-order a playlist when you have the column sorting set to the column called “#”
was the reply
I’ve worked it out - you have to click on the track with the mouse pointer in the hashtag column and it then drags.
Cheers fellas.
Yes, you need to drag and drop the tracks into the order you want them
Old-Dutch I get that, Dutch! You can’t select the hashtag column and then click on the title of the track and drag it, you have to drag it from the number in the hashtag column.

Good on you for sticking to the remedial brief Grant.
Don’t want owt fancy in ’ere
Not sure you need to do it by dragging on the actual track number in Serato - sorry mate no idea how Recordbox works

Not quite mixing but I want to change the file metadata (specifically Genre) on my music so that it matches my folders.
Then, when I import into Rekordbox the Genres will match what I have them filed as.
Will help me organise and create playlists
Anyone know anything I can use to do this without editing each file individually on a Mac?
Anyone here use Mixed in Key SW with their standard DJ SW?
Seems a bit like overkill to use both Rekordbox & Mixed in Key, given RB has it’s own key ID system.
Having said that, I’m keen on anything that can make my mixes less unpleasant, would be interested to hear any experiences of using both (or with Traktor etc…) and whether there’s any advantage?
Nice one.
Cyril
I use it. Massive hassle but it’s very useful. Sometimes it can get it really wrong tho, so I’d only recommend using it for djing once you’ve hit a dead end when hunting for a tune for a mixtape.
Cheers Zack. Interesting you say it’s a massive hassle, that’s something that isn’t mentioned in their promo material
Rekordbox is solid in my view, but the odd mistake is easily recognisable
Mad_Cyril It may be simplified by record box and tractor, but thats just a guess. I use ableton to dj, and there is no seamlessness between that and mixed in key. I color code all of my tunes to match the Camelot Wheel, which makes it easier, once I’ve gone through the initial process of loading, reviewing, and editing all of the tunes in Live.

I don’t disagree. At the same time, I feel almost obligated to use it bc I am djing with ableton. Once the beat matching is taken out of the equation I feel compelled to do more with the available time.
