  • Favorite Live In-CD poll

Since Live in Fabric is a month away I thought let’s put the poll option in use. I’m also interested to see how the votes go in less than obvious cases, for example my favorite is the very obvious Live in London.

Favorite Live In-CD

Cordoba
London
Slovenia
Argentina
Miami
Toronto
South Beach
Montreal
Brooklyn
Tokyo
Output

Went with London too, H. Has just the right amount of filth on it. Also, walking into the main room that night when it was in full flow was epic. No room to swing your baton and dark as fook.

Just as this was playing

bosstrabs Disc 2 of London is the best one actually. Mohn - Eberplatz 2020 (Jörg Burger Mix). Hnnhhh.

I too was there for the Live in London night.

The kitchen sink was being thrown at a rate of knots.

Obviously the early stuff because of the novelty of the series, London is definitely top 3. More of a tech house / house feel to it, compared to full on power prog.

But I’d say my top 2 are all of Montreal, which is beautifully eclectic, and Tokyo for the nostalgic sinister grooves + vortex sound running through the entire mix.

I’ve been listening to London on my work commute this week, and Digweed REALLY liked the ping pong-delay on the DB4 when the mixer was still new. 😀

Smallman1 Yep, I noticed the bantz moving between rooms was at full pelt. It all makes sense now. Cheers, Ed.

Smallman1 I can barely listen to it - I had to DJ at a mate’s 40th about 500 metres away that night.

        Cordoba is fucking wonderful

No ’they’re the new BSPF, essentially the worst thing John has ever done and they undermine all his other output’ option? Poor show H.

No votes for Montreal? Hmmm my second favorite.

Obvs I was there for london. Albeit briefly abd straight from a wedding so in my suit on my way home.

Had a great chat with nick Muir that night if I recall.

I have to dig that one up, it’s been well over 5 years at least since I last put it on.

Cordoba has a tune called Shiva on it, and it’s an absolute banger.

Remember playing the single at a house party and it going down hard, even with the ladies.

That shiva tune is a banger

London was an absolute belter of a night and is the number 1 for me.

Cordoba is the only one I own so I’ve gone with that 🤣

Can’t imagine it going off in Slovenia tbf. London & Montreal most definitely.

rhouses Rodamaal “Insomnia” (Ãme Remix) is a brilliant tune and I always play it out to a great reaction

Dan Slovenia is balls to the wall from the off. An absolute banger.

Probably my favourite track on the album and its track 3 of cd1. Straight in,

I think Slovenia and Output are the only 2 I don’t have

Thanks to Dave when I think of Slovenia I think of Zackster.

I bought a couple, they’re in the bin somewhere with Magda’s Balance

Mad_Cyril fucking hell that Magda balance what a shit show man. Up there with Jimmy Van M’s Balance in terms of disappointment.

rhouses and Tokyo for the nostalgic sinister grooves + vortex sound running through the entire mix.

                          Tokyo gets my vote.

Out of curiosity I remember asking on here which one was supposedly the most banging, so I could at least give one of them a listen, and Tokyo appeared to be the most suggested. I listened to it and it was dull as dishwater. If that’s the standard then this poll really needs an option for “I’d rather pour burning hot lava in to my ear canal”.

                            Homegrove
Agreed, the only reason I can think of for Rhouses comparing it to Magda’s is he must have been playing it backwards. Or upside down??

I wish my Jimmy Van M balance cd wasn’t a coaster, maybe it was ahead of it’s time. Remember it strewn out of its cover on my bedside table, and straight up thinking IDGAF. It was disappointing and it wasn’t worth the wait. If someone could share the 320 copy of the three discs along with the V2 mix, I’d be happy to be proven wrong. Not on Apple Music.

Jimmy Van M Bedrock is probably my GOAT prog mix that also broke my prog cherry. Nothing comes close to that. So many memories. I was also a huge fan of The Audible Suspects mix with Oliver Lieb on Bedrock which is a proper trip.

rhouses If someone could share the 320 copy of the three discs along with the V2 mix, I’d be happy to be proven wrong

It’s all good Rhouses, life would be boring if we all liked the same things.

                              But you ARE wrong!

Mad_Cyril I’m not listening to it on YouTube, I’ll pick it up on Beatport if it’s there. More than a decade later I’m sure it’s going to be a regret buy again.

bosstrabs Mongwater with a predictable ‘Disc 2’ vote incoming…

Might as well given I haven’t listened to one second of these mixes.

Millsy 6 years married, Millsy. We’re way passed any type of music during the deed at this point. 10 years back I’d have probably gone with one of the early discs on Montreal.

Good to know, dawg. I’m guessing the soundtrack nowadays consists of your heavy breathing and the telltale crack of her pelvic girdle under the sheer majesty of you.

Rouses putting a shift in with Lisa lashes hard house euphoria blasting out of the sonos.
