Definite honey. Peculiar she gave up her US citizenship to become Chinese. What’s the Chinese media saying about it, Dave?
Almost like my friend’s wife who moved to Pakistan after living in India for 10 years.
All about the ski jumping IMO
Could not give a fuck.
Completely passed me by. Couldn’t care less

Wait, how is Eileen Gu “Almost like my friend’s wife who moved to Pakistan after living in India for 10 years”?
This might be the most Rhouses thing you’ve ever posted.
Dave sounding like one of the Nina Kraviz fanboys here

I read her wiki and even though by law China does not allow dual citizenship for those over 18 and forces those to rescind their second nationality or else lose their Chinese citizenship, it does not seem that Gu has actually rescinded her US citizenship necessarily:
“Gu did not answer a reporter’s question regarding her status as a U.S. citizen at the time she changed national representation.[32] At present, there has been no evidence of her renouncing her U.S. citizenship per the U.S. Treasury Department’s Quarterly Publication of Individuals Who Have Chosen to Expatriate”
“For a time, her profile on the Red Bull sponsored athletes website also included the claim that she had renounced U.S. citizenship upon naturalization, but this information was removed when The Wall Street Journal inquired regarding its accuracy.”

Given that she personally met Xi Jinping prior to obtaining Chinese citizenship at 15, I wonder if Xi hasn’t secretly granted her an exemption from the Chinese anti dual citizenship law due to her being a sports star.
Thanks for answering Rhouses questions, Hugo, so I can concentrate on the more important matter of calling him the biggest fucknuckle to ever bestride the subcontinent.
Absolutely love the Winter Olympics, always have for some reason. So many great sports, from Skeleton to speed skating, all the skiing events and now all the new freestyle stuff, can’t wait!
Shame it’s in China
Snowboarding and skiing for me.
I’ll pretty much watch all of it bar the ice skating.
hugopal At least we’ll all be relieved of your constant streams of twitter bilge on here.
Hark at you, the king of absolute fucking bilge!
Had read most of that and it seemed quite grey, but thanks, @hugopal. I’m assuming that meeting with Xi allowed her some flexibility.
@bosstrabs That’s a bit of my prejudice, borderline racism, in action. Moving to a totalitarian communist country with hardcore censorship laws (China) and moving to a religious fundamentalist country with archaic blasphemy laws (Pakistan), by choice, seems to be quite a peculiar decision to make.
