Saw Hot Chip at the 6Music festival some years back… musically I’m okay with them, nothing I would buy, but fine on a festival line up when I’ve had a skin full of warm Red Stripe… what utterly ruined it for me is yer wan Goddard, who felt it was below him to dress in the same matching gear the rest of the band had chosen to wear. Too cool for school. Why the fuck should I invest in your music and your show if you can’t be bothered to yourself? I just stood there seething at him for an hour.
