A few interesting factoids released today

Deaths due to Cocaine up 7 times YoY which is pretty bonkers. Maybe people saving up through lockdown for a massive bender once lifted. Or shit gear. Interesting the North East are the most likely to pop their clogs.

A few observations-

  • Minimal deaths throughout the whole of the 90s, which is bonkers considering every tom dick and harry were popping right left and centre. Must have been better quality pills?
    -What the hell happened around 2010? No one went out?
    -Peaks now must be down to impure/dodgy pills given the decline of clubland/people taking better care of themselves/using nitros oxide etc etc

    IndustryStandard And people using research chemicals that they order online. That trend has basically been exploding recent years.

    I do think pills in the 90’s were more ‘pure’.

            I cut my teeth on the old speckled Mitsis. Literally and metaphorically

            Mitsis were the Kings of the second wave, right before the Dutch govt banned a chemical that was used in production, which ultimately led to a barren run of substandard pills for years to come.

            Wasn’t there were loads of red & black caps before mitsis came along. We even some yellow Cali splits before the white birds came along.

                          Along_the_Wire Still had some decent one’s early noughties: Blue Star, Calvin Klein, V2 but was going downhill from there. Fuckers mixing trippy shit or gen pep in with MDMA.. fuck off.

                            Dubman Yeah, they were notorious. I think a lot of that was down to urban myths though. Maybe someone else will know but one of those caps was probably close to 2 pills worth?

                                The Netherlands are regressing in the past decade and a half if not past two decades. Once a liberal country concerning drugs, now even coffeeshops have been cut in most places and fucking US of A has gone ahead and legalized cannabis for years.

                                Stuff like MDMA, Psylocibin, Cannabis.. it should all just be legalized so everyone who uses at least gets assurance of dosage and purity of product.. just pick it up at the pharmacy.

                                I can’t stand the hypocrisy of alcohol being so normalized and “ok” to use “responsibly” (rarely anyone does.. lol) but oh Noooo, not the fecking filthy Droegz!!
