It was indeed well known. I had a mate at high school who was on Man Cityâs books, but he did his cruciate ligament and was never quite the same. Anyway, City released him and Crewe and Wrexham were after his signature, and he told me âIâm not joining that paedo clubâ and signed for Wrexham (donât think he ever made a first team appearance, though, his leg was shot).
