  • The whole energy crisis thing

Hursty £160 pcm for both, 2 people living in a 4 bedroom house. Was as high as £260 last year, but Octopus have brought it down fairly quickly…

200 / Month. Gas central heating. Electric car that I charge on cheap electricity. Evens out throughout the year.

Just checking if anybody uses lunar months for their bills?

It feels like the c in pcm is redundant. And makes you sound like a letting agent.

Fucking hell, do you all live in squats or something?

Either that or you’re all freezing to death.

It would appear that I got a phone contract with mine lol. Octopus look like the way to go.

    £170 a month.

Would be cheaper but all the heat disappears through the roof.

Smallman1 water in/heat out. You need to get that fixed mate

      Have tried to numerous times.

Currently about £8k in the hole and the fucking thing is getting worse.

      Tempted to call Frank Thomas.

Along_the_Wire fucking hell, that’s proper. Lots of thick cable arran knits at Chez McKay.

Smallman1 Tempted to call Frank Thomas.

Doubt he’ll be free until the end of the season Ed

I’m down to £157 a month for gas and electricity and have £650 in credit with Octopus. Was on £256 a month this time last year.

        Octopus for the win.

Also highly recommended getting a Tado system for your radiators. Expensive at the minute but has come down to £350 / £400 in the past:

£250 a month for gas and leccy. Seems about par.

If you notice the bills now have significantly higher standing charges than they did before. Being fleeced with those now as standard

Smallman1 fuck’s sake, you live in a particularly difficult house to work on then? It’s not that difficult tracing leaks
