Yeh haha we were totally ill equipped for the job. Just expected a few streets with the odd stage here and there. I just remember totally losing all sense of direction which is not like me. I really hadn’t got a clue where I was or how to get out for hours.

Dreadful bants from Dave.

Invite en route.

Dan I’ve worked in that area it’s not nice.

Notting Hill? I thought it was all posh?

It’s always a laugh seeing pissed up revellers relieving themselves against the wall of the multi million pound gaffes

First and only time there, got separated pretty quickly from my friends, but ended up finding the Sancho Panza area and just stayed there. Was ok 90s deep house, but all of a sudden Golden Arm appeared out of the soundsystem about 4pm totally randomly. Followed by that remix of Prodigy-Climbatize. It appeared to be the Bedrock Special Guest unannounced. He finished with Wavy Gravy. Played a few more off his album. Plus some other non beach house prog stuff. To be honest it was a wicked surprise. Those were good days. And the jerk chicken was guuuuud. Moved to Hong Kong shortly after so its sad to hear its lost its charm. Anyway good memories.

Anyone here ever catch the 3 Tyrants at the Bonapart Pub in the late afternoon of Carnival? Seems I missed that by a year. I think it was just before Fabric opened? Would be cool to hear some stories from that.

Was pretty cool Smallman. It’s literally the last thing you would expect, especially first time there. So pretty lucky. Any of those kind of surprises happen anymore?

I went 5 years running when an old pal lived in Queens Park which is just a 15 minute walk away. Saw Sasha twice at sancho panza, I think the first time was 1999, and bushwacka another year. Always had a great time.

What’s the word on the grapevine, Ali? Bad Boy Yardies an ting?
