Dry-Tinder I heard he used to bunk off work if Leeds were playing at home.

Dry-Tinder So remind me again, what has he earned?
The right to call in sick or put his family above all else because hes been at the forefront since the beginning, the pros vastly outweighing the cons but go ahead if you want to whine like an idiot.
Nobody on here or anywhere else for that matter condoned him for throwing a CD into the crowd, at least not that I saw. Kudos for shoehorning that into your post, I thought the issue was you claiming he chalked off a gig because be wanted to go to a football match? (Which you made up btw)

Being at the forefront of anything isn’t a good enough excuse to shake down your fans, which he has done time and time again. Actually I didn’t make any thing up. He also chalked off his gig at the Troxy earlier in the year. Why was that, oh yes, because he wanted to watch a fucking football match. And as people have previously stated it would sound a lot more legitimate if he had chalked off all of his gigs this weekend for family commitments instead of just the day Liverpool were playing at home. You sound like one of those sycophants that think It’s a crying shame that he hasn’t got a knighthood yet.

The problem is like any career path. You can aspire to do something and be passionate about it in the beginning, but most people reach a point where the shine wears off. In an ideal world, you would jack it in and just do something else, but if it is tied into the maintenance of your lifestyle, you’re gonna have to ride the waves where sometimes it is bearable and other times a massive ball ache. In Sasha’s case, he started his DJ career when it was a lot simpler and all about doing something that was about the ethos of rave. Now it is so commodified with social media stats, ticket sales etc etc it just makes it all about the business side.
This is based on the very limited things he said in interviews, but my guess is that after years of caning it and being in a high pressure career with huge demands on your time, that he had bouts of depression and anxiety that forced a review of his life and a reconciliation that it is just something he had to do if he wants to maintain his career, even if he would rather be doing something else musically.
I’ve dipped out of dance music a few times but I was able to because I don’t rely on it for my income. There’s a linked question about whether you should trot out mediocre crap if your heart isn’t in it, but I suspect that unless the bookings and demand for him dried up, he will keep it going.
Dry-Tinder not a sychophant, far from it, just playing devils advocate to your incessant pointless bilge. “Shaking down his fans” lol, are you a grown man?
There’s far worse going on in the merciless world of instagram DJs than to bash the guy who got most of us into it in the 1st place. Will somebody think of the people who’ll nosh the kitchen sink anyway regardless of him cancelling the MOST IMPORTANT GIG IN THE WESTERN HEMISPHERE. The wheel will keep turning.
LT42 You’re sounding like a child now. Extra points for the use of block capitals.
Dry-Tinder bore off you fucking twat.
2h29m on the first mix is the one I was trying to find!
ID’d as Sentre - unreleased. I was dancing with some pals and that was humming away. My bro came back from the bar and first thing he said was ‘tune’.
As you were.

he used to get so spangled at shelleys and train wreck really bad. Unlike Ratty who was a true professional. Also most classic sasha mixes which got exported down south from that era are actually dj vertigo.
Was a gent towards the ladies when he was calm though, I’ll give Alex that.

Eh? What Shelley’s nights were you at? I have no recollection of him having trainwrecks there and I went most weeks.
There’s probably 30 + tapes of evidence too and I’m going to say I can’t think of a single one on them either.
His most notable train wreck was at an MOS festival, Castle Morton from memory with Judge Jules in 92 and then he had a stonker at Tyrant in 97 which I was at where he puked up over, then passed out on, the decks and had to be held up by John Graham and Parks and Wilson, to carry on. Which he did !
The 3hrs of that Sasha from Fabric mix is awful.
So dull.

I listened to 1 HR. First hour of part 1, whilst I was driving. I really cant imagine being in a club listening to that kind of music. I’ve seen him at fabric several times and it was fuck all like that plodding old shite.

Cankles-McJeggings every single one babes. Have you ever heard him do a hip hop or disco set? Answer: no, because he can’t.

LT42 that sort of language will get you killed in Turkey, which is where I am led to believe you reside. Be very careful big boy, be very careful. You won’t even have my juicey knickers to sniff then.
Flares Alert

Why is that, Matt? Are you and Leroy and the rest of the bad boy yardies gonna get up in my grill? Why don’t you put an end to the nonsense once and for all, do you not get tired feeding your multiple personalities? Do you have any idea of how miserable your existence is? I suspect you dont as you need to be sane first.
Sasha b2b with ANNA and now this… What is going on

He’s done. Has been for a while now. He put out a couple of mixes recently and they were shite. Lazy track selection and Patrice Baumel remixes galore.

That recent mix in Bali is the worst mix he’s ever done. That’s hard to believe but I’m pretty comfortable with that statement. Absolute fucking shite from start to finish. There’s some reason he suddenly saturated the webs with his wanky mixes and I’m guessing because some marketing prick has told him to.

Some mitigation…
“If you were at the Bali gig you will know we had sound issues about 90 mins into my set and I had to stop for a while. I didn’t record the 2nd/end section of the set so I put together the last hour in the same vein last night at home. It includes a couple of brand new tracks I have just finished in the studio. Enjoy! Last Mixcloud mix next week.”
