A lot of newer motors are standardising a bit on specs.
Have a good range of 2 or 3 spec types so it’s pretty much a colour choice.
Makes it easier to pick up a cancelled new order, also less fucking about from a manufacturing perspective I suspect.
I just browsed dealers until they started posting new car availability, which will happen in bulk as they come in on the ships.
Lead time was about 9 months last year, took me less than a month, most of that was because I had to arrange getting to BMW Teeside to pick up.
Only worry was crossing Ronnie Pickering’s path at a junction after picking up, found myself just staring straight ahead if I stopped at a junction to avoid catching anyone’s eye!
