Disagree. I think social media is a shit show and people know it; yes it gets people some coverage than they wouldn’t have traditionally gotten, but many people / ideas are taken down in the comments, it’s a conversation at the very least… but being put on TV simply adds legitimacy, and being on TV without any immediate decent rebuttal adds even more legitimacy.
