Anyone but Foden it seems. Obsession with athleticism over technique and skill
The Actual World Cup 2022 Thread
alistair Maguire has had a good game. Seriously. Different animal for England
What kind of animal?
Has he stopped playing slow, ponderous, passes across the back four whilst the opposition get back into position?
Or made a few headers / interceptions (against top top opposition) so suddenly a world beater?
The sad thing is that anyone can win the WC this time around… yet because of Southgate we don’t stand a chance
Rashford instead of Foden is a gross insult
Can I just say, Hendo was a masterstroke by Shitegate.
What a load of old shit. Imagine playing a good team!
Calm down ladies, it’s not the end of the world.
hugopal Mount has been a waste of a shirt.
And yet somehow completes the full 90.
With that point we’ve at least basically qualified for the next round, but we shouldn’t be playing for a draw against friggin USA, which is what we seemed to be doing.
No desire, no urgency.
Kane didn’t seem fully fit either.

I don’t think that’s it - for some reason he also brought on Grealish who is all technique but little athleticism or end product.
Foden is clearly the better player for City than Grealish, yet somehow Gareth finishes the match with Grealish at LW and Rashford on his least favoured RW - when he could have instead had Rashford on his favoured LW and a more dangerous Foden at RW.
mono-stereo it’s also not a beacon of optimism
ScottBailey It dosen’t need to be. No need to panic after one poor performance - clean sheet and we didn’t lose.
Can you imagine going to Qatar to watch that? Long walk home across the desert
Is it not coming home then chaps? We were nailed on the other day
