I agree with the general sentiment that Southgate should stick with the same team. Just ask Walker and Rice to hang back and keep an eye on Mbappe.
A change to a back 3 will just make our overall team worse as Trippier was cack earlier in the tournament, and it’s already been a shame we’ve had to leave some of our attacking talent on the bench, let alone needing to bench yet another attacking player to accommodate the shift in formation.
France are weak in defence. It will be a close-run game, but I’m sure they’d be happier to see one of Foden or Saka on the bench.
