Hursty my first visit. Zadar. Won’t be my last. Just coming back from Plitvicka national park. Wonderful experience. Need a cold beer immediately on arrival.

Reporting from Normandy. The Bayie Taps as Ed woukd call it is actually rather splendid.

On a more serious note the war graves and museums are emotionally challenging. Came back and watched the great escaper back at the hotel. Left me a bit of a blubbering wreck. Hard to walk round a graveyard of over 4000 people, none of them older than me and be left with any sense other than awe at their collective character.

Just to cheer you all up I have ended up with a proper dose of man flu, or possibly covid. Been in bed for 2 days and realy struggling. Just how I like to spend my holidays in hotels in Jersey

I had COVID a few weeks ago but have been hit with something else this week - banging headache, aching limbs and shortness of breath. Got some antibiotics on Wednesday as was worried it may have been early stage pneumonia. Coughing up shit etc.

Tempted to do another COVID test just to see.

Old-Dutch Exacrlt what I had. Hit me Tuesday and still feeling ropey. Managed to walk for about an hour yesterday but its properly ruined the holidays, especially for mrs benson. I only every get ill on holiday, mever at work. FFS
