I never hear “Industrial Farming” mentioned in these conversations, and they’re probably the biggest culprit over the last 15 years.
Just to bring some balance, airlines are at least doing their part in diminishing their footprint by using more fuel efficient jets, I know it could be better but at least its trying to lesson damage. You could argue that its only driven by cost and that could be debated but the fact is aircraft are now far more fuel efficient than say, 20 years ago.
Boyan Slot is doing a great job with ocean cleanup so there are areas where its improving but if anything industrial farming is growing even worse and yet they seem to slip under the radar more than others.
Oil is such a massive part of every day life across multiple industries that it seems a bit unrealistic to expect it to just stop overnight. Maybe I’m naive, I don’t know enough about it.
