Dermatron to confirm the use of vinyl and turntables for my sasha goat entry.

surprised nobody has mentioned Apollo Vibes into Love And Traffic

zackster prog shitheads think good mixing = can’t tell when tracks are changing. One big night of indistinguishable slurry is what they want.

Lol!

zackster 😂. Totally agree. Nails against a blackboard, Pots n pans 4 Eva

Quick question Zackster, do the transitions in Daft Punk Alive count? Bangers and nothing less IMO.

If one falls down the backstairs of the office whilst carrying the canapes for the marketing pow wow, you can recreate one of Jeff Mills’ finest moments. The sound of spoons crashing through the bannisters and echoing all the way up to the top floor resemebles the delay effect on Jeff’s mixer also. You won’t find a finer transition into your P45.

The three track mix starting around 1:08:00 or there abouts is as good as it gets. Undeniably the best to ever do it.

      No

As usual with Zackster and anything related with music, this thread is an absolute shit show.

      “Oi Jeff…..Got anything melodic”

Jeff Would mix all the tracks off that Balance comp you bought at the same time.

LOL, fair cop. Suspect my cats could too.

          Sounds like a real ‘keeper’!

Why do my UK mates hate Jeff Mills but rate Tony Surgeon?

LNOE 50. Frankey and Sandrino Into sentre - u&me

Mainly because this is where I first heard u&me but it’s pure Sasha blend.

Also most of the first 5 tracks off transitions 4. Still love em.

And obviously anything I’ve ever mixed.

Sasha GU013 “Baseline Track - My Lexicon - Nothing Left”

zackster “I was doing that on a pair of KAMS back in 92. Next.”
How did Flares get my fucking email??

            zackster NOTHING off of 013

smokindan Sasha GU013 “Baseline Track - My Lexicon - Nothing Left”

            How ’bout reading the OP

Don’t know what Zackster has against GU013.

Disc 1 is the greatest mix of all time.

Smallman1 I’m not sure it’s anything, but I can understand excluding it otherwise the thread will just be yet another repeat of people making the same posts on it they already have 10 times already on this board.

Emerson: Singapore - the greatest disc 2 of all time

              Man From Solaris > Lifetimes

Chills to this day. Fucking poem. Great job of mixing by Steely’s mate.

Cups into Overflow. Both fantastic tracks, great opener and the transition from light to dark along with masterfully changing the pace is up there as one of the best I’ve heard.

zackster Anyways, what do ya’ll got? NOTHING off of 013 or 009 for that matter. Let’s try to show some substance and taste.

Ok, I forgot I have to spell everything out for you people. Hong Kong was clearly included in the above statement. Whats next? Rain Cry into OBE!!!

                zackster Rain Cry into OBE!!!

Not actually that good a mix imo, and anyway all the best mixes are on NE2 D1. That thing is high art, pinnacle of the culture etc.

                  That 52 minute mark…
                  Bombscare >>>Babyloop (on vinyl)

Amps give S or D Jeff’s records and they could easily pull off something similar. Give Jeff the records off that disc and he’d probably have to be checked into the mental after 30 mins.

One of the worst things I’ve ever heard Jeff mills was. Absolute fucking ear bleed racket that no cunt should ever be exposed to.

Had a mate who was really looking forward to hearing him after missing out many times. This was early noughties. Finally got to see him and when I saw my mate the next day he was absolutely gutted. Said JM just did constant build ups and when they seemed like they were about to explode he would just cut to a kick drum on another track. Like when a prossie gives you the penguin.

Edit: Good to see Zackster derail his own thread

Have seen Jeff a couple of times and he’s been boss. Would go again.

My brother’s mate wanted to go and see him in laaarndan late 90s at the atom club or atom something. Was fucking mowed out and he played a mash up of the same 3 records for nearly 3 hours. No highs, no lows, just the same shit forever.

                    Ed’s second favorite mix

Vegas Soul: Funk Junk > MK: Burning (Klubheadz Remix)

                      zackster
                      Just behind.

Little Mix: Black Magic > Beyoncé: Run The World (Girls)

                      Dan Atomic Jam

Yes that was it. Decent venue actually. Ruined by shite music. Is it still open? What was the venue called? Was a bit church like. A big hall with a higher section round it. Very hazy memory.
