bosstrabs The Last of Us 1 & 2 - best games I’ve played for a long, long time. They’re releasing a new version of the first game made for the PS5 in early September, so worth waiting a short while. I’m gonna buy and replay it - they updated the shooting mechanics, which was probably the most mildly irritating part of the original.

      Along_the_Wire is the second any good? Loved the first - one of the best games I’ve ever played - but put off by the reviews and don’t want it to tarnish my view of the first.

          I still can’t believe they are not easily available to buy, it’s been almost 2 years ffs. I ended up getting an X Box Series X last year but I’m thinking of selling that as the games I’m interested in are all PS exclusives.

          Re: games for PS5. Far Cry 6 is great, especially for £23. Doesn’t require much investment.

          Horizon Forbidden West looks good and if its as solid as its predecessor it will be worth a go

          The new God of War is out in November. That should be epic

          Millsy the Last of Us 2 is superb. Perhaps not as great as part 1 but I think that is because part 1 was the first real quality game of its type that its almost unbeatable. Its about a 30 hour play through and gets pretty grim in places but I’d really endorse it

            Was bugging me for ages the racing game I used to play endlessly on the PS1 then I realised it was Ridge Racer – had a look if there was any chance of it appearing on the new membership tier but no

            I’ve noticed in the past week or so that the RRP of the PS5 seems to have increased. It was £449.99 but now you can only seem to pre-order more expensive bundles. The PS5 with Ratchet and Clank is £559 on one of the websites.

            I’ve ended up registering my interest directly with Sony who may/may not email me if any become available; even then I need to apparently order within a certain time frame to secure one!

                  Returnal is bastard hard, but very good.

                    vinnyt77 I think there was also another reason as well (which I won’t mention due to spoilers). Personally, I thought it was mint, completely brilliant.

                        TitianWarrior not really a spoiler any more that one, bit of a shame to get rid, but sounds like it’s pertinent to Ellie’s character arc. The story in the first is absolutely mustard.

                            Millsy I realise most people (who might be interested) will already know about the spoiler, but I thought I’d be nice, just in case. There’s a great doc about the making of the first game on YouTube too
