jonattonyeah that’s one of my favorite records, absolute perfection.
The RIP thread
Homegrove His grandson posted a picture from his 89th birthday a year ago. He seemed really small. Same with Gene Hackman, saw a picture of him recently, and couldn’t recognize him. These actors who have the sense to retire (like those two) get old in peace and dignity. Morgan Freeman looks like a walking corpse and is still doing B movies.
Whereas Christopher Plummer hasn’t aged a day in twenty years and he’s 90. He’s always good in what he works on as well.
loopdokter Good call.
Currently being cued up for this weeks watchings:
Highlander (Haven’t seen it in ages)
Outland (Not sure I’ve ever seen it)
The First Great Train Robbery (Boss fun)
The Hill (Sans toupee)
The Anderson Tapes (Love a 70’s caper)
Also, not sure I knew there was a Lostep album, will give it a purchase and spin etc.
Highlander has NOT aged well. Still fun.
John Sessions RIP.
No more bunkers?
Felch Aid really did have news for us.
Homegrove Gene Hackman
Watched Crimson Tide and Enemy of the State recently. Interesting to see two actors go toe-to-toe with Hackman. Denzel could do it. He was excellent in CT. Will Smith could not. He gets blow off the screen in EotS.
I’ll take what is dead for $200.
RIP Des O’Connor
A stalwart of British TV for decades.
Wasn’t there a whiff of Yewtree about our Des?
Along_the_Wire married 4 times….I doubt it.
ScottBailey he’s no Barrymore
I’m sure his family and friends will be delighted by these tributes.
Along_the_Wire Suspicion looms over many from that generation, especially around the Beeb.
mono-stereo Goodnight sweet Prince!
