Rory Stewart is undoubtedly a bit of a weirdo and some of the things he does are pretty cringeworthy but there’s no doubt whatsoever that if he won the Tory leadership over Johnson the UK would be in a much better state.
He often talks truth to power and is currently speaking a lot of sense on Afghanistan for example.
This video from 12 March 2020 has aged very well and suggests our Covid strategy would’ve been dramatically improved if he were in the hot seat.
