We had an amazing Lebanese restaurant on our High Street. The owner retired and sold it on. It’s now a Lebanese ‘Street food’ restaurant, which means the menu is exactly the same, but you only get half a baby chicken / smaller portions on all dishes and the prices have gone up across the entire menu.
Also had a Sri Lankan ‘street food’ restaurant on same High St. The price of a plain bowl of rice was £3. Egg fried rice was £6. Street Food. Closed down after a few months. I wonder why.
Amazing how many places think they can get away with labelling something as Street Food and taking the absolute piss with the prices because it’s so hot right now.
