Although it was back in 2014 that the NIH awarded a grant to the U.S.-based EcoHealth Alliance to study the risk of the future emergence of coronaviruses from bats, and from this money the gain of function research in Wuhan was funded.

So there could have been talks already leading up to the 2014 funds being awarded, which could mean the timeline isn’t actually that far-fetched.

Funky he has a narcissistic personality disorder. like most other people like that they adopt views which are convenient to receiving the attention they crave. the opinions are secondary to the attention. this case is just another issue onto which people can graft their own preconceived views about the world. women in the main do not lie about sexual assault - some do and its pretty clear when they do - but most don’t and these allegations in their tone and content raise a strong prima facie case against him. if he does not sue for defamation then that tells you all you need to know. if he does, then it will be up to the judge.
