You couldn’t have handled the pace

Smallman1 Sounds like he played a load of old drive

Smallman1 sounds like he was boss

Consistency. Thats what I like in a biz dev man

Doesn’t one statement contradict the other. Im surprised that you never saw him as you claimed to be in Ibiza back in 96. Maybe you did meet him and then he got the arse injected death sentence.

…heard him at Trade a couple of times, great at what he did, not really my (hard)bag though.

At a club where the DJ’s were largely fairly anonymous, he was incredibly popular for a time, real air of anticipation before he went on, perfect hi-energy music for that after-afters gay crowd.

At trade, fair. And that’s largely what most, including myself associate him with.

But can remember seeing him at Cream 95/96 and being surprised at how much slower (than the usual Trade stuff) he played and built the set.

Remember walking away thinking he was a better DJ than the one trick pony I had him pigeon holed as. That and ‘how do I get all these smarties out of my chap’s eye’?

Steely has been glued to my posts like Dermo is to Daves. Really sad to see this!

…Trade started at around 130bpm at 3am and went up from there, fucking mental.

Unbroken1 Carnage working Sundays in Clerkenwell and seeing everyone coming out in the morning.

Used to have breakfast at Trade occasionally, saw him there a few times. Was solid live, didn’t like his GU much though.
