Sasha and Digweed Hackney Church1st December 2023

I flew to Glasgow to see them last weekend and return flights was cheaper than that. They really like shaking down the London crowd.
Dry-Tinder how was it mate?
It was fucking brilliant. Got a flight from Bristol at 5 pm, went to a pre party at that Skyline venue. Went to the venue, Sasha and Digweed did 4 hours, went around some strangers house for an afters, flew out of Glasgow at 9 am, all for under £100. I did the same at Easter but went to Belfast. If I hadn’t got tickets for London, I would have done Dublin the week before.
The crowd and the music were great. The stuff Sasha and Digweed play in their sets does nothing for me when I hear it at home, but sounds brilliant in a club. I bought tickets for village underground by mistake, so am doing both of the London gigs, but would rather have just done the church event. The problem with those mega long events is you end up with too many drug casualties wandering around looking miserable all night.
Sounds mint DT, glad to hear it.
I’m going back for Danny Howells in January, tickets, flights and a night in the Skyline Radisson under £150
Dry-Tinder Sounds boss!
Dry-Tinder I liked the stuff they were playing at the Amsterdam gig. That looked excellent.
mono-stereo They have certainly rejuvenated me. It’s not like the 90s but I am definitely more excited about seeing them in a long time.
Managed to get a resale ticket on RA for Hackney Church
Any pre event boozers to recommend ? Me and Mrs IS ( there will be one Dorris there at least ) making a weekend of it in London so may head to Hackney Wick for a couple prior
Here is good IS -
IndustryStandard hackney church brew co if you like a microbrewery. https://hackneychurchbrew.co/
behind this wall is quite a cool little bar, might have to book that though. https://behindthiswall.com/
Cheers lads
Just realizing what getting my Mrs organized and ready for a 7pm event entails . Hopefully they let us in after 7pm . I get the impression it will be a right bun fight getting in tomorrow as they would have massively oversold the event .
That said , really looking forward to hearing what they play given the time / venue .

IndustryStandard seems silly opening at the same time as they start playing. Hate the idea of a coat queue but it’s too cold to go without. Considering dancing with a North Face gillet
If you have early entry tickets for the Village Underground it is unlikely that you will make it before the early entry time if you stay at the church until the end, so they will fleece you for another few quid on the door.
